Janet Lynn was born and raised in New Orleans, La. She started to sing at the young age of 6 and all throughout her school years. At the age of 17 she began her professional career. She has preformed at many clubs such as The 1801 Club, The Old Absinthe House Bar, Rhythms, Second Line, Storyville, Margaritaville, Ruby's Road House, The River Shack and The House Of Blues to name a few.For the past 11 years Janet has entertained as a blues artist. Being influenced by such greats as Etta James and Aretha Franklin, Janet feels she has found a home in singing the blues.
After being in the business a little over 21 years Janet has preformed with and opened shows for many talents such as Frankie Ford, Luther Kent, Irma Thomas, King Floyd, Bobby Mitchell, Tommy Ridgeley, Ernie K. Doe, Frogman Henry, Oliver "who shot the la la " Morgan, Art & Aaron Neville, Fats Domino, Jean Kinght, Walter" Wolfman" Washington, Lenny McDaniel, Sally Towns, Jerry Fisher, Marcia Ball, Mem Shannon, Jack Cole, Marc Adams, Larry Lee & Thunder Blue, Gregg Allman, Rick Deranger, Steven Stills, Lee Thornburg, "Big" Johnny Thomassie, Charlie Brent and The Levee Band. Along with many other talented musicians.
